How to boost engagement in your business using Twitter’s Quick Promote

Want to promote your business on twitter but don’t have the time?

Twitter has recently introduced a new feature called ‘Quick Promote’ allowing you too simply and quickly promote your best performing tweets.

In a couple of clicks you will be able to push your existing tweets out beyond your immediate followers to a wider audience. Through your analytics dashboard you can see the tweets you’ve posted and how they are currently performing. By analysing the impressions and engagement rate of your tweets, you can make a decision as to whether or not you think a tweet is worth promoting further. With ‘Quick Promote’ there is no need to spend time carefully examining your target audience, Twitter automatically targets users who have similar interests to your existing followers.

Here’s a ‘quick’ how to for using Quick Promote

Once you’ve logged in to your twitter analytics dashboard, select a tweet that you want to promote and click ‘Promote this Tweet to drive clicks’:

Next, choose the budget you are willing to spend and click ‘Confirm spend of £XX.XX to promote this tweet’ (If you haven’t signed up for Twitter Ads already, follow the prompt in the Tweet activity dashboard to set up your account). You will notice that you’re also given an estimate for the number of clicks your spend is likely to receive, which is nice.

    And… you’re done!

It’s clear that Quick Promote is a fast and easy way for small and medium-sized businesses to promote their best content, new offers and articles. However, at The Marketing Eye, we would always advocate the full campaign setup, and to think carefully about what you want to promote and what you aim to achieve. The full campaign setup allows more in-depth targeting and you can manually adjust your spend, rather than picking from a pre-defined budget.

Nevertheless, Quick Promote is a great little feature and will help build your follower base and overall twitter engagement. So, if you have a blog post or product that’s crying out for a little more attention, give Quick Promote a go.
