Abigail Rowsell named as one of the UK's top ‘40 under 40' tax advisers

Abigail Rowsell, a Client Manager with Creaseys, the award-winning Tunbridge Wells-based accountancy firm, has been named as one of the tax profession's top ‘40 under 40'.

Tax Journal's ‘40 under 40' list includes individuals who have ‘demonstrated outstanding achievement in their careers to date', as verified by independent researchers and by Tax Journal's judging panel.

Client comments about Abigail, provided to Tax Journal include:

"An outstanding individual, a thoroughly conscientious, knowledgeable expert with excellent interpersonal skills."

"Her knowledge is vast, her manner endearing and her attitude totally professional."

Abigail, 24, joined Creaseys in 2006 and was made a manager at the age of 23. She works closely with business and private clients to provide highly practical support, skill and advice to a variety of Creaseys' clients on a wide range of situations. Unusually, she works across all taxes, including income tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax.

Abigail looks after a portfolio of clients, dealing with compliance matters and consultancy projects. A number of Abigail's clients have overseas interests and she has worked closely with Richard Holme, a tax partner at the firm, to successfully develop an expertise in international matters.

"I was very excited when I was told my nomination was successful for Tax Journal's ‘40 under 40'," says Abigail. "Clients and contacts kindly gave references to Tax Journal to assist my nomination. Their comments were really positive and they stated how pleased they were with the work and service I have given them. Hearing that was the best part about this whole process."

Creaseys boasts a long established and well regarded tax team and Abigail was part of the team on some key transactions over recent months, including the sale of Cath Kidston Limited and the sale of Crystal Palace Football Club.

"We are very proud of Abigail's achievement," says Emma Roberts, Chief Executive of Creaseys. "Abigail trained with our firm and has embraced our ethos of continual learning to build great skill in her specialist area. She is as passionate as we are about client service and her understanding of our clients is demonstrated in the testimonials she received. We are delighted with her success."
