Greg Clark MP to speak at the Creaseys Budget Breakfast

The Tunbridge Wells MP, Greg Clark, is to be the keynote speaker at the Creaseys Budget Breakfast on Friday 23 March, at the River Centre in Tonbridge. Traditionally held two days after the Chancellor has delivered his Budget, the event always attracts more than 200 local professionals, business people and private clients all keen to hear what the Budget actually means for them.

"We are delighted that Mr Clark has agreed to speak at our Budget Breakfast," says Emma Roberts, Chief Executive of Creaseys. "His overview of what the Chancellor has said and the Government's current thoughts on our economy here in the south east will be invaluable."

She adds: "There is always a big turnout for this event as the analysis provided by our tax partners is regarded locally as being second to none."

Greg Clark was elected as MP for Tunbridge Wells in 2005 and has held a number of positions, including Shadow Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and Minister of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government. In July 2011, he was appointed Minister for Cities.

At the time of his appointment, Mr Clark said of his new role: "I am thrilled to be appointed Minister for Cities. For Britain to be successful, Britain's cities need to be successful. Our cities generate well over half of our wealth and are home to the majority of our businesses and our leading universities. If our cities do well, the country does well. I am looking forward to working with the leaders of Britain's cities to ensure that the Government does everything possible to help urban Britain thrive."
