Creaseys celebrates IHP's Queen's Award success

Three of Creaseys' staff were invited to the House of Lords this week to see the firm's client, charity International Health Partners (IHP) receive a 2011 Queen's Award for Enterprise - presented for five years of continuous innovation. It was the first time in three years that this award had been presented to a charity.

The event, which took place in the Cholmondeley Room at the House of Lords, was attended by around 250 invited guests, including Roger Ward, Keith Sharpe and Louise Tunstall from Creaseys.

To mark the special event, IHP also took the opportunity to present Certificates of Partnership to various organisations - including Creaseys - which have supported them over the years.

"We were delighted to receive this award and have enjoyed supporting IHP as its auditor and adviser since its launch in 2004," said Roger Ward. "Watching IHP develop as a charity and grow into the success it is today has been a privilege."

IHP is a humanitarian organisation which aims to provide free medical aid to the world's most needy people, by operating in partnership with the UK pharmaceutical and medical supplies industries, government, the medical community, NGOs and individuals. In the year to June 2011, IHP distributed more than £25 million of donated pharmaceuticals and medical supplies via its secure distribution network.

"The Queen's Award recognises the success of the unique partnership IHP has developed across the healthcare industry to improve access to medicines in the developing world," said the Secretary of State for Health, Rt Hon Andrew Lansley.

Added Anthony Dunnett, President of IHP: "IHP has shown what can be achieved when the public, private and voluntary sectors collaborate in common cause."
