New Client Manager joins The Marketing Eye

abi_smith.jpgThe Marketing Eye in Uckfield has expanded its team again, with the addition of Abigail Smith, who has joined as a Client Manager and will play an important role in looking after client relationships at the firm.

Abigail, who is a graduate in Economics from The University of Sussex, recently passed her Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) ‘Professional Diploma in Marketing'. She has joined The Marketing Eye from Higher Nature, a leading manufacturer of natural vitamins and supplements. Previously, Abigail has also worked for the fabrics company Crowson and in an advertising agency.

Abigail has known Neil Edwards, Managing Director at The Marketing Eye, for three years, as he has been mentoring her through her CIM qualifications. As a Fellow of the CIM, Neil is keen to pass on his knowledge to others as they build their marketing skills.

"We are delighted that Abigail has joined us at The Marketing Eye," says Neil. "I've enjoyed providing her with guidance during her exams and am pleased that, as The Marketing Eye has grown, we've been able to offer her a position here. This is an exciting time for us, as we have welcomed a number of clients onboard recently and Abigail will be working closely with a number of these."

Adds Abigail: "I studied for my marketing qualifications online, so it was great to have Neil as a ‘sounding board'. He was great at explaining marketing concepts to me and pointing out how they can be used out in the real world. I was delighted when he said that there was an opportunity for me at The Marketing Eye."

After leaving university, Abigail was looking to be an accountant but ‘fell in love' with marketing and feels that it fits well with her creative outlook on life.  In her spare time, she enjoys portrait art and loves baking, particularly cupcakes, which her new colleagues at The Marketing Eye are looking forward to sampling!

"Abi's marketing knowledge, combined with her creative flair and the fact that she has worked ‘client side' will be of great benefit to the team here," says Neil Edwards. "We look forward to introducing her to clients both new and old."
