Stand out performance

Thank you very much for all your efforts [at Kent 2020] - much appreciated.

We have 27 qualified leads and a good number of business cards to follow up on too.

Many people complemented us on our stand, Prioryman and our Blazers and all were extremely surprised when we said that it had been our first exhibition ever!

The Marketing Eye jets in with a black-tie dinner for Hospice in the Weald

Hospice in the Weald is hosting a spectacular corporate black-tie dinner at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells on Friday 18 February to raise much-needed funds.

The dinner is being held in association with The Marketing Eye and boasts a packed programme of entertainment, including celebrity guests, a professional MC, and the glamour of the Red Arrows, in the shape of display pilot Red 8. The dinner will also feature the raconteur, wit and former cricket commentator, Henry, ‘Blowers’ Blofeld, who will entertain guests with uproarious stories from the commentary box and life.

The evening will begin with a Champagne reception, which will be accompanied by music from the Hospice’s own award-winning music therapist, Maria-Christina Papadopoulou, who was the resident harpist at Claridge’s.

Red 8 – Flight Lieutenant Dave Davies - will be sharing his experiences of flying with the world’s best-known aerial display team. He joined the RAF in 1998 and was selected for fast jet training. During his career he has been on exercises all over the world. Dave was made the RAF Hawk display pilot in 2008, before joining the Red Arrows in 2009.

“This is our first corporate dinner and we are incredibly excited,” says Rachel Holweger, Corporate Community Fundraiser at from Hospice in the Weald. “Companies and professional firms locally have been amazingly supportive of the Hospice over the years, so this is a way of thanking them for their efforts as well, of course, of raising some more money for the Hospice. We need to raise £4 million each year to keep our facilities open – so we are grateful to everyone who supports us.”

Adds Neil Edwards, Managing Director of The Marketing Eye: “We are delighted to be working with Hospice in the Weald to promote the dinner. The Hospice does amazing work which touches everyone in West Kent and East Sussex. It will also be a fantastic way for business people and professionals to entertain clients, reward staff or simply enjoy a fabulous night out with family and friends.”

The evening will also include an auction with some stunning items including ‘once in a lifetime’, ‘money can’t buy’ experiences, a holiday at the breathtaking 7-star Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi, and authentic signed memorabilia from the world of sport, music and film. There will also be a silent auction to further boost funds raised at the event.

Tables of ten or 12 are available at £60 a ticket. There are only 20 tables available - so make your booking early.
