Social Media is too often dismissed by those who don't understand it as a waste of time. Don't believe it. There is a very active community online and you need to join in the conversation to build your brand in this space.
The top tips are:
- Don't dedicate your life to it - nobody likes a social media junkie
- Be discerning in who you follow - select people who genuinely interest you or who you want to do business with
- Download the relevant applications onto your smartphone - posting updates is then quick, easy and fun!
